<br />Commission Minutes-May 6, 2002 2437 <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />JAIL, Bids awarded for food service. medical eQuipment and office furniture <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to award the bid for food <br />service equipment in the new jail to the low bidder, Central Products, <br />Inc., according to a letter signed by Sheriff Don Rudnick. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to award the bid for <br />medical equipment in the new jail to the low bidder, Midland Hospital <br />Supply, Inc. for certain items; and to Moore Medical Corp. for the <br />accessories section of the proposal, according to a letter signed by <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to award the bid for office <br />furniture in the new jail to the low bidder, Office Interiors, according <br />to a letter signed by the Sheriff's Department. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />JAIL, Purchase orders for specialty items <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the purchase <br />of mattresses and the inmate property storage system for the new <br />Cass County Jail, and authorize the Chairman to sign the purchase <br />orders. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />9. ELECTION FOR 2002, Approve list of election inspectors <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the 2002 <br />election inspectors, according to the list provided by the County <br />Auditor's Office. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. ROAD DEPARTMENT, SprinQ load restrictions discontinued <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to discontinue spring <br />load restrictions for Cass County hard-surfaced highways on May 14, <br />2002, and gravel highways on May 21,2002, except for the following: <br />Cass 5 from Erie to the Traill County line (Class 1); Cass 10 from <br />Casselton to Cass 11 (Class 1); and Cass 6 from Cass 5 to State 18 <br />(Class 1). On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Hiahway 11 overlay proiect from 1-94 to Mapleton <br />MOTION, passed <br />__ Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the county <br />engineer to proceed with the overlay project on County Highway 11 <br />from 1-94 to Mapleton. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
