Commission Minutes-May 6, 2002 2436 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ - 1. 2. 3. r" r" REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 6, 2002 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. Mr. Wieland introduced Lisa McEvers, Assistant State's Attorney, who was present today representing the State's Attorney, Birch Burdick. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the agenda with one addition to the regular agenda being two change orders for the new Cass County jail. Motion carried. 4. PERMITS FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Approved for Veterans Inc.: Red River Human Services: Erie American Leaion MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to grant site authorization permits to conduct games of chance under a license issued by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003, as follows: Veterans Incorporated at Club 94 and Bronco Bar; Dokken & Schroeder Post #223 at the Erie American Legion Hall; and Red River Human Services at the Wild Rice Bar and Grill. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 5. COMMISSION MEETING, Julv meetina date chanaed from July 15th to July 22nd MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to change the second meeting in July, from the 15th, to July 22, 2002, because of the National Association of Counties Convention in New Orleans on July 11-16, which Commissioners Wieland, Sorum and Wagner plan to attend. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. FLOOD BUYOUT, Deed to re-convey excess property in Wiser Township MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chairman and the county auditor to sign a warranty deed with Vaughn and Shirley Johnson of Argusville, North Dakota, to re-convey excess property in Wiser Township, which they deeded to Cass County in November, 1997, under the flood buyout program. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
