TREASURER'S OFFICE, On-line seryices aareement with EzGov
On behalf of the County Treasurer, Charlotte Sandvik, Mr. Montplaisir explained the on-line
services agreement with EzGov, Inc. The first year of the service was free, with the
understanding that it would cost $12,000 the following year, plus a transaction fee. The number
of people using the service to pay their property tax has been small, according to Mr.
Montplaisir, however, it has drastically reduced the number of telephone calls to the county
regarding real estate questions. Realtors and financial institutions can use the website to obtain
the needed information instead of calling the Treasurer, Tax Director or Auditor's Offices. Mr.
Wieland said the program is still in the experimental stages, and he supports continuing it for
another year or two. The county may examine its merits again after that time.
MOT/ON, passed
Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the
chairman to sign the FirstAmendment to On-Line Seryices Agreement
with EzGov, Inc., as reviewed and approved by the State's Attorney.
On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

/"""' 11.
