On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />MEETING UPDATES; JOINT DISPATCH; JAIL UPDATE; DEACONESS HOSPITAL BILL; <br />FARGO SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, Committee reoorts <br />Commissioners Sorum and Wagner attended the newly elected county officials workshop in <br />Bismarck last week. Mr. Wieland attended the workshop as a speaker. Also, Mr. Wieland said <br />he was absent from the last Commission meeting because he was attending a National <br />Association of Counties Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. <br /> <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, updated the Commissioners on a dispatch field trip to <br />Chicago on March 9-11th, a letter to contractors of the jail project offering inmate labor, and a <br />grant application to receive funding for wiring and equipment for interactive video in the new <br />Cass County Jail. Mrs. Johnson also informed the board that the medical billing from <br />Deaconess Hospital in Billings, Montana, is still being withheld since the last meeting and was <br />referred to the State's Attorney, Birch Burdick, for review. <br /> <br />County Auditor Michael Montplaisir reported on information from the Fargo Engineering <br />Department regarding proposed special assessments on the North University Drive project in <br />the amount of $15,000 for Springvale Cemetery. A protest hearing is scheduled for April 11th. <br /> <br />16. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: North Dakota <br />Emergency Management information on insurance requirements <br />relating to FEMA Public Assistance funding. Motion carried. <br /> <br />17.
