5. ,- - - Commission Minutes--March 5, 2001 2253 COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Policv 9.50 revisina AdoDt-A-Hiahwav Proaram MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to amend Commission Policy Manual Section 9.50 to add County Road 16 from County Road 15 west 3 miles to County Road 27 to the list of Adopt-A- Highway segments, according to a memorandum from the county engineer dated February 23, 2001. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for Ford cab and chassis MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order for a Ford F-350 cab and chassis through Valley Ford of Fargo, North Dakota, in the amount of $31,100.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Pavroll deduction for Fraternal Order of Police dues MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve a payroll deduction for the Fraternal Order of Police for approximately 20 employees in the Sheriff's Department, pursuant to the Personnel Policy Manual Section 7.31. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 8. COUNTY SEAT CAFE, Contract termination Concerning the courthouse cafeteria, Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, provided some history forthe benefit of new commissioners on the previous locations within the courthouse and the most recent operators of the business. The current operator, Corey Whitchurch, has given his eO-day written notice of terminating the contract for operating the County Seat Cafe effective April 30, 2001. MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to terminate the County Seat Cafe contract with Corey Whitchurch effective April 30, 2001; and to designate the cafeteria .area as a break room. Discussion: Mrs. Johnson said she is hopeful that someone will express an interest in operating the cafe once the termination notice is made public. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 9. VOUCHERS, ADDroved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve Voucher No. 150,238 through No. 150,545 with the exception of #150,398 to Deaconess Hospital, Billings, Montana, for a prison inmate. Mrs. Schneider will talk to the jail administrator about this bill, which amounts to $7,112.42, before payment is authorized. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
