<br />5. <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--March 5, 2001 2253 <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Policv 9.50 revisina AdoDt-A-Hiahwav Proaram <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to amend <br />Commission Policy Manual Section 9.50 to add County Road 16 from <br />County Road 15 west 3 miles to County Road 27 to the list of Adopt-A- <br />Highway segments, according to a memorandum from the county <br />engineer dated February 23, 2001. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase order for Ford cab and chassis <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign a purchase order for a Ford F-350 cab and chassis <br />through Valley Ford of Fargo, North Dakota, in the amount of <br />$31,100.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Pavroll deduction for Fraternal Order of Police dues <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve a payroll <br />deduction for the Fraternal Order of Police for approximately 20 <br />employees in the Sheriff's Department, pursuant to the Personnel <br />Policy Manual Section 7.31. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />8. COUNTY SEAT CAFE, Contract termination <br />Concerning the courthouse cafeteria, Bonnie Johnson, County Coordinator, provided some <br />history forthe benefit of new commissioners on the previous locations within the courthouse and <br />the most recent operators of the business. The current operator, Corey Whitchurch, has given <br />his eO-day written notice of terminating the contract for operating the County Seat Cafe effective <br />April 30, 2001. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to terminate the <br />County Seat Cafe contract with Corey Whitchurch effective April 30, <br />2001; and to designate the cafeteria .area as a break room. <br />Discussion: Mrs. Johnson said she is hopeful that someone will <br />express an interest in operating the cafe once the termination notice <br />is made public. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, ADDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve Voucher <br />No. 150,238 through No. 150,545 with the exception of #150,398 to <br />Deaconess Hospital, Billings, Montana, for a prison inmate. Mrs. <br />Schneider will talk to the jail administrator about this bill, which <br />amounts to $7,112.42, before payment is authorized. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />
