Commission Minutes--March 5, 2001 2252 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ ,'- REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MARCH 5, 2001 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John MeyeL Alon Wieland was absent 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order aDD roved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the agenda as printed. Motion carried. 4. RESOLUTION #2001-3, ImDlementina sDrina load restrictions on county hiahwavs MOTION, passed ,~ Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve Resolution #2001-3, implementing spring load restrictions on county highways as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. RESOLUTION #2001-3 TO IMPLEMENT SPRING LOAD RESTRICTIONS ON COUNTY HIGHWAYS WHEREAS, Soft base conditions experienced during spring thaw reduce the load- carrying capacity of County Highways; and WHEREAS, The Cass County Board of Commissioners desires to prevent serious damage to County Highways; and WHEREAS, 39-12-03 of the North Dakota Century Code authorizes local authorities to impose vehicle weight restrictions on County Highways, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Cass County Board of Commissioners that Spring load restrictions will be imposed upon Cass County Highways in the following manner: All County Highways to be posted in accordance with the Cass County Highway 2001 Spring Load Restrictions Map dated February 8,2001. Spring load restrictions will be effective at 12:01 AM on March 20, 2001. ~. Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 5th day of March, 2001.
