<br />SUBJECT: AMENDED ORDINANCE #1997-3 (COUNTY PARK CAMPSITES) <br /> <br />38.05-1 <br /> <br />PAGE 2 OF 3 <br /> <br />Any campsite or camping equipment which is left unoccupied or <br />unattended for more than the 10 consecutive days t~Jcnty four <br />(21) conoccutivc houro, ~ithout ~rittcn ~uthoriz~tion from ~ <br />rcprcocnt~tivc of the C~oo County r~~c Do~rd will be deemed to <br />be abandoned and subject to towing and impound by the county at <br />the expense of the owner or user. <br /> <br />2. For purposes of this ordinance, camping equipment shall include, <br />but not be limited to, vehicles, recreational vehicles, campers, <br />boats, trailers, or any other thing which is generally <br />recognized as recreational camping equipment, <br /> <br />3. Group activities attended by more than twenty-five individuals <br />are prohibited without a permit issued by the Cass County <br />Auditor's Office. A minimal fee will be charged for application <br />for such permit. <br /> <br />4. Fireworks, model rocket engines, or combustible or explosive <br />material prohibited, <br /> <br />a. No person may possess, discharge or set off within any area <br />of Brewer Lake Park any form of fireworks, model rocket <br />engine, or combustible or explosive material unless <br />authorized by <br />b. The term "fireworks" means any combustible or explosive <br />composition, or any substance or combination of substance or <br />article prepared for the purpose of producing a visible or an <br />audible effect by combustion, explosion, deflagration, or <br />detonation. <br />c. "Model rocket engine" means a commercially manufactured, non- <br />reusable rocket propulsion device constructed of a non- <br />metallic casing and solid propellant wherein all of the <br />ingredients are self-contained so as not to require mixing or <br />handling by the user, <br />d. "Combustible or explosive material" does not include matches, <br />butane, kerosene, propane or similar fuels and devices used <br />in the ordinary course of camping, <br /> <br />5. No burning will be allowed except in designated fireplaces. <br /> <br />6. Use of firearms within the park is prohibited. <br /> <br />7. Cutting, damaging, or destroying any trees within park area is <br />prohibited. <br />
