Commission Minutes--February 7,2005 2855 8. VECTOR CONTROL, Purchase orders for new equipment MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to authorize the chairman to sign purchase orders for one 2005 Yamaha Kodiak ATV from University Motors, Fargo, North Dakota, for $5,299.00; one Load-Trail steel trailer from Visto's Trailer Sales, West Fargo, North Dakota, for $1,360.75; and one 2005 Chevy Extended Cab Pickup from Stan Puklich Chevrolet, Bismarck, North Dakota, for $18,620.00 for the Vector Control Department. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 9. ABATEMENT APPLICATIONS, Approved for Edwin and Ardis Orman MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that Abatement No. 4259, 4260 and 4261 for Edwin and Ardis Orman be reduced to the purchase price of $61,000, as recommended by the County Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 10. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 14.01. County Standina Committees MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to amend Commission Policy Manual Section 14.01, County Standing Committees, by reappointing Mark Johnson as the county planning commission representative on the road advisory committee, as approved by the planning commission at the regular meeting held January 27,2005. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 11. METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, Expansion subcommittee MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to appoint Darrell Vanyo to serve on the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments expansion subcommittee. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 12. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Lease of flood lot; Widseth Smith Noltina; North Dakota Department of Transportation; Joint Powers Aareement for electrical aenerator eQuipment MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the following contracts submitted by respective department head, subject to state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mark Hiatt--Iease of flood lot in Forest River Subdivision area; Wid seth Smith Nolting--consulting services to prepare plans and recommendations for repairs to County Highway 16 and 18 bridges over the Red River; North Dakota Department of Transportation--right of way certificate, construction and maintenance agreement for bituminous overlay on County Highway 22 from 1-29 to the Red River;
