Commission Minutes--February 7, 2005 2854 DEPARTMENT HEADS: PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FEBRUARY 7, 2005 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Darrell Vanyo called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Darrell Vanyo led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the agenda as printed. Motion carried. 5. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, Bids accepted for radio eQuipment shelter MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to accept the lowest bids as outlined in a letter dated January 24, 2005, from Dave Rogness, Emergency Manager, for the construction of an equipment shelter for the Cass Clay Area Public Safety Radio Project; and authorize the appropriate construction contracts be executed as required. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, LaserFiche Internet access MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to authorize the Information Technology Department to purchase necessary equipment and coordinate installation of DSL or cable service for Cass County Commissioners to access the LaserFiche system; and authorize the Auditor's Office to reimburse commissioners for installation and monthly charges. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. NATIONAL INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (NIMS) TRAINING, Budaet approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the detail budget totaling $200,000 for the NIMS training program and to forward the budget to the Department of Emergency Management. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
