HOLIDAY CLEARING BUREAU, Employee solicitation for clothin~ items MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to allow the solicitation of clothing items from Cass County employees to be given to the Holiday Clearing Bureau for distribution to needy adults. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 7. QUIT CLAIM DEED, County-owned property redeemed to Shawn Kukes MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chairwoman to sign a quit claim deed between Cass County and Shawn J. Kukes for county-owned property that was redeemed by Mr. Kukes. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 8. AUDITOR'S OFFICE, Monthly financial statement received MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive a monthly financial statement from the auditor's office for the month ended September 30,2004. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 9. PERMITS FOR RAFFLES, Canaan Moravian Church; Kindred Close Up; Chaffee Lions MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a raffle permit for the Canaan Moravian Church on the date of February 13, 2005, at the Canaan Moravian Church, Davenport, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a bingo and raffle permit for the Kindred School District Close Up Program on the date of November 23, 2004, at the Kindred School, Kindred, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve a raffle permit for the Chaffee Lions Club on the date of November 29,2004, at the Embden Farmer's Union Oil Company, Embden, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 10. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Motor ~rader rental MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chairwoman to sign contract documents for rental of two caterpillar motor graders from Butler Equipment, subject to the state's attorney's approval. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 11. RESOLUTION #2004-9, Assistance from Army Corps of En~ineers for slide repairs MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to adopt Resolution #2004-9 requesting U.S. Army Corps of Engineers assistance under Section 14 of the 1946 Flood Control Act for slide repairs adjacent to Cass County Highways 17 and 31. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
