C. Davidson of F-M Ambulance, Inc. to the new owners, Rodney Pieper <br />and Pat Murray of F-M Ambulance Service, Inc. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Upon the request of Mervin Nordeng, States Attorney, Mrs. Stanton moved and <br />'Mr. Satrom seconded that Mr. Nordeng be authorized to hire Larry Stern as an <br />.Assistant States Attorney. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall reported on some plumbing problems in the Courthouse which the <br />Commissioners looked at with him. Mrs. Wold suggested that a survey be made to determine <br />~the general condition of all the plumbing, as she stated that it would be helpful <br />to know at budget time if there are going to be any major plumbing repair bills. <br /> <br />Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the following Officer's Reports <br />lfor January be received and filed: Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk of Court <br />County Court <br />Register of Deeds <br />Sheriff <br /> <br />$ 2,426.50 <br />$18,510.39 <br />$10,850.50 <br />$ ~,581.52 <br /> <br />Committee Reports were given. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold drafted a letter to Ward County requesting information on their position <br />County Administrator. <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Hendrickson and seconded by Mr. Satrom, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 8, 1978 <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members <br />(were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />!be approved as written. However, Mr. Satrom made a substitute motion that the paragraph <br />ibe deleted whereby a survey is to be made of the Courthouse plumbing because he felt that <br />repairs are needed immediately in some areas. The motion died for lack of a second as <br />'Mrs. Wold stated that the immediate problems do need attention now but the Board would like <br />ito know the general condition of the rest of the plumbing. The motion carried to approve <br />ithe minutes. <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the top of the boiler be insulated <br />at a cost of approximately $2,000.00. After viewing the boiler, the motion carried. <br />I <br />, <br /> <br />A delegation was present, represented by Clarence Baumler of Wheatland, asking <br />the status of the County Road 5 project from Interstate 94 to Chaffee. The County Road <br />:Superintendent stated that as soon as the right of way is acquired, they can begin the <br />'project. There are 26 property owners involved and about one-half of them do not live <br />'along this road. Mr. Baumler suggested that the property owners meet with the County <br />iDirector of Tax Equalization, who will be acquiring the right of way, to discuss a price <br />,and try to come up with a reasonable rate. Mr. Satrom suggested that the benefited <br />ilandowners donate the right of way to the County. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson <br />iseconded that the County begin the necessary legal steps for acquiring the right of way <br />'for the County Road 5 project. The motion carried with Mr. Satrom dissenting. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that correspondence from the <br />.Public Service Commission regarding new warning signs for railroad crossings be received <br />and referred to the County Road Superintendent.
