<br />Commission Minutes--May 3, 1999 1972 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MAY 3,1999 <br /> <br />1. OATH OF OFFICE, Administered to County Auditor and to County Treasurer <br />The Oath of Office was administered in April to Michael Montplaisir, who was elected Cass <br />County Auditor on November 3, 1998, for a new term beginning April 5, 1999. The Oath of <br />Office was administered earlier today to Charlotte Sandvik, who was elected Cass County <br />Treasurer on November 3, 1998, for a new term beginning May 3, 1999. <br /> <br />2. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Robbie Quick called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider and Robbie Quick. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with the following changes: 1) add contract with North <br />Dakota Department of Transportation for Highway 14 improvements <br />to the consent agenda; and 2) add purchase of jail land to the regular <br />agenda according to memorandum from the Chairman dated April 30, <br />1999, a copy of which was provided to the local media. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />5. CLERK OF COURT'S OFFICE, Staff commendation letter <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to forward a staff <br />commendation letter to the Clerk of Court's Office for working <br />overtime to convert child support cases to the State computer system <br />and accomplishing nearly 100% of the conversion at this time. <br />Employees who worked on this project were present and introduced <br />by Toni Stremick, who provided the leadership in accomplishing this <br />task. She accepted the commendation letter on behalf of the Clerk of <br />Court, Dorothy Howard. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PERMIT FOR BINGO, Approved for Chaffee Community Club <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve bingo permit <br />for the Chaffee Community Club to be held June 15, 1999, at Chaffee <br />Community Park in Chaffee, North Dakota. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
