<br />Commission Minutes--January 19, 1999 1923 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 19,1999 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Robbie Quick called the meeting to order at 3:45 PM with four members present <br />as follows: Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Donna Schneider and Robbie Quick. Alon Wieland was <br />in Bismarck today testifying before the State legislature on county issues. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order aooroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the order <br />of the agenda with the following changes: 1) adding application for <br />Juvenile Block Grant Funds and raffle permit for Kindred Lions Club <br />to the consent agenda; 2) moving the County Road 26 school turn <br />lanes project from the consent agenda to the regular agenda; and 3) <br />adding discussion on the regular agenda of proposed County Road <br />26 designation as a State Highway. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 4.00. Advisory Boards <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to amend Commission <br />Policy Manual Section 4.00, Advisory Boards, and appoint Wes Ecker <br />of Grandin to the North Cass Water Resource Board to fill the <br />unexpired term of Morris Melander, who resigned effective January 1, <br />1999. Mr. Ecker's unexpired term will end December 31, 1999. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 14.00. County Departments <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to amend the Commission <br />Policy Manual by updating Section 14.00, Department Listing. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 14.01. County Standing Committees <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to amend the Commission <br />Policy Manual by amending Section 14.01, Standing Committees, as <br />follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />
