Commission Minutes-April 7, 1997 1602 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 7, 1997 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions: North Dakota Department of Transportation contract approval on consent agenda; out-of-state travel request for Social Services to consent agenda; and flood emergency update as the first item on the regular agenda. Motion carried. NATIONAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK, April 13-19, 1997 MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to authorize chairman to sign proclamation of National County Government Week April 13-19, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT/JAIL, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of- state travel for Deputy Tony Krogh to attend the Mid-States Technical Conference in Indiana on April 7-9, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of- state travel for Pastor O'Malley to attend the American Chaplaincy Annual Training in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on June 8-13, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of- state travel for Marlys Hanson to attend Payment Accuracy Conference in Kansas City, MO May 5-9, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
