Commission Minutes--April 7, 1997 1603 TREASURER, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of- state travel for Charlotte Sandvik to attend the National Association of Counties Convention in Baltimore, MD July 10-15, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. WEED CONTROL, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve out-of- state travel for Weed Control Officer Joel Young to attend the Noxious Weed Short Course in Bozeman, MT April 21-24, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. INSURANCE RESERVE FUND, NDIRF proxy vote for Richard Bendish MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to elect Richard Bendish to the Board of Directors of the North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund (NDIRF), as approved at the convention, to serve a term of three years or until a successor is elected and qualified. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE AND BINGO, Chaffee Community Club MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve raffle and bingo permit for Chaffee Community Club to be held June 28, 1997, at the Chaffee Park, Chaffee, ND. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. LOST INSTRUMENT BONDS, Received and filed MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to receive and file Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Fleet Mortgage and for Sharon Toussaint; and authorize the county treasurer and the county auditor to issue duplicate checks. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Culvert steamer purchase approved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to authorize the County Engineer, Keith Berndt, to purchase a steamer from Swanston Equipment at a cost of approximately $10,500, according to his memorandum of March 28, 1997. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
