Commission Minutes--February 3, 1997 1579 DEPARTMENT HEADS-PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FEBRUARY :3, 1997 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Paul Koenig, John Meyer, Roberta Quick and Alon Wieland. Donna Schneider was absent. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Koenig seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) add omitted assessment notice to Wayne Freedland; 2) adopt resolution of support for Arlene Sprunk; 3) approve out-of-state travel for Road Department and for Social Services; 4) ratify Personnel Overview Committee action of February 3, 1997; 5) permit for raffle for Cass County Historical Society; and moving tax abatements to the regular agenda. Motion carried. SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve out-of-state travel for Leslie Johnson on January 22, 1997, to Foxhome, MN. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 6.00, Sick Leave MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to amend Personnel Policy Manual, Section 6, regarding retention of sick leave. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. STATE'S ATTORNEY, Acting pay request for Karen E~eber=_ ap_oroved MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve acting pay for Karen Egeberg, according to Personnel Policy Manual Section 7.20, effective February 3, 1997, in the absence of Shirley Sorensen. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
