Commission Minutes--October 21, 1996 1526 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> OCTOBER 21, 1996 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Peppe¢' Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members <br />present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider, Bernie Ness and Sharon <br />"Pepper" Toussaint. <br /> <br />m <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that minutes of the <br /> last regular meeting held September 30, 1996 and minutes of the <br /> special meeting held October 3, 1996 be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Amended MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to amend today's <br /> agenda to add two Social Services contracts to the consent agenda; <br /> and to add discussion regarding a Cass County officer being assigned <br /> to the multi-jurisdictional gang task force to the regular agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order a.n_~roved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda as amended. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />REGISTER OF DEEDS, Certificate of appreciation to Deanna Kensrud <br />Due to inclement weather in Bismarck, Bob Hanson, State Tax Commissioner, was unable to <br />attend the meeting to present a certificate of appreciation to Deanna Kensrud, Cass County <br />Register of Deeds, for her assistance on a state-wide committee. Chairman Toussaint read a <br />letter of appreciation from Mr. Hanson which was received today via fax machine. <br /> <br />VETERAN'S SERVICE OFFICE, Commendation to county staff and community_ suD~ort <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to send a letter of <br /> commendation, as read by the Chairman, to Cass County employees <br /> and community individuals/agencies for their assistance to Veteran's <br /> Service Officer, James Brent, and his family after a recent, major <br /> apartment fire in Fargo. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
