Commission Minutes--April 1, 1996 1450 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 1, 1996 MEETING TO ORDER Vice Chair Donna Schneider called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider and Bernie Ness. Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint was absent. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Ness seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the order of the agenda. Motion carried. AUDITOR, Award of Financial Re_~ortin;_ Achievement MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to present "Award of Financial Reporting Achievement" to County Auditor, Michael Montplaisir. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. Mr. Montplaisir said this award to Cass County Government is made possible by staff in the County Auditor's Office and support of the Cass County Commission. RESOLUTION # 1996-6, Condolence to family of the late Andrew Hagle MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to adopt Resolution #1996- 5 as read by Mr. Wieland: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the citizens of Cass County, express sincere sympathy to the family of Griggs County Commissioner, Andy Hagle, who passed away March 19, 1996. ELECTION SUPPLY BIDS, Awarded to Knight Printing Company MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to accept the Iow bid of Knight Printing for 1996 Primary and General Election supplies. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
