Commission Minutes--March 18, 1996 1446 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MARCH 18, 1996 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Vice Chair Donna Schneider called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four members present <br />as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Donna Schneider and Bernie Ness. Sharon "Pepper" <br />Toussaint was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the <br /> previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order ap_~roved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order of the <br /> agenda deleting Road Department purchase order for a one-ton truck <br /> at the request of County Engineer Keith Bemdt. Motion carried. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for Scott Pearson, Damon Job, Jerry Lambertz and Steve <br /> Sprecher to attend the annual American Jail Association training <br /> session in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 19-23, 1996. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for Dawn Herbst to attend the 1996 American Academy of <br /> Physician Assistants annual conference in New York City, New York, <br /> on May 24-31, 1996. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for a D.A.R.E. Officer from the Sheriff's Department to attend a <br /> two-week training program in Bozeman, Montana, on June 17-28, 1996, <br /> for the purpose of teaching D.A.R.E. to students in Cass County. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />DIRECTOR OF EQUALIZATION, Out-of-state travel a_~_oroved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of-state <br /> travel for Frank Klein, Director of Equalization, to attend a conference <br /> on property tax appeals in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 28-30, 1996. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
