Minutes--November 7, 1994 1265 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 7, 1994 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Steve Risher called the meeting to order at 3:45 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness <br />Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Steve Risher. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that minutes of <br /> the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Additions to consent agenda MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to add the <br /> following items to the consent agenda: 1) Social Services <br /> out-of-state travel; 2) alternates for Michael Montplaisir <br /> and Dorothy Howard on Canvassing Board; 3) Indemnity Bond <br /> on Lost Instrument; 4) purchase order for Sheriff's <br /> Department vehicles; and 5) Sheriff's Department to give <br /> credit for years of service when hiring a field deputy. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. wieland seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify actions of October 17th <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to ratify Personnel <br /> Overview Committee actions of October 17, 1994, by amending <br /> Personnel Policy Manual as follows: 1) Section 2.60 on <br /> requirements for repeating the defensive driving course; <br /> 2) Section 6.00 concerning sick leave pattern identified by <br /> a department head; and 3) Section 6.10 on pro-rating health <br /> insurance benefits for all part-time employees in <br /> proportion to their full-time equivalency. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL AMENDED, Add Section 9.50, Adopt-A-Highway <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend Commission <br /> Policy Manual by adding Section 9.50, Adopt-A-Highway <br /> policy. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Out-of-state travel approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Social Service employee Maurice Johnson to <br /> Detroit Lakes, MN on October 25, 1994, for client staffing. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
