Minutes--January 18, 1994 1160 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 18, 1994 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Steve Risher called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with four <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness <br />and Steve Risher. Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that minutes of <br /> the previous meeting be approved as written· Motion <br /> carried· <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Ness seconded to approve the order <br /> of the agenda with the following additions to the consent <br /> agenda: 1) out-of-state travel for Social Services; <br /> 2) quit claim deed; 3) cellular phone contract for Road <br /> Department; 4) request Weed Control Board to consider <br /> contracting for weed control services; and add to the <br /> regular agenda, appointment of acting county superintendent <br /> of schools and commendation letter to Bruce Hoers. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />DEED TO CITY OF PAGE, Chairman and Auditor authorized to sign <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the <br /> chairman and county auditor to sign two county deeds to the <br /> City of Page. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1994-1, Extending unpaid personal ProPerty taxes <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the <br /> chairman to sign Resolution #1994-1 extending personal <br /> property taxes in the amount of ~247.60 as a lien on any <br /> real estate owned or which may be acquired by Henry Lepard <br /> of 1423 5th Avenue South, Fargo, ND. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT, Construction, maintenance and right-of-way <br />agreements signed for Maple River bridge MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize the <br /> chairman and county auditor to sign construction and <br /> maintenance agreement and a right-of-way certificate with <br /> the North Dakota Department of Transportation for the Maple <br /> River bridge project one mile north of Mapleton, ND. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
