Comm. Minutes--October 11, 1993 1119 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OCTOBER 11, 1993 MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded that minutes of the September 20, 1993, regular meeting and the September 30, 1993, special meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions: 1) award certificate of recognition to Lyndon Worden from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); 2) Road Department to donate three used culverts to zoo project; 3) Courthouse drainage improvement plans/specifications and bid advertisement; 4) out-of-state travel for Social Services Director Kathy Hogan; 5) amend county planning contract to provide 911 support services; 6) Blue Cross/Blue Shield renewal agreement. Motion carried. TREASURER, Staff commendation letter MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to give a letter of commendation to County Treasurer, Charlotte Sandvik, for her extra efforts in sending delinquent tax statements more often and personally contacting property owners who are nearing the five-year delinquency point, resulting in a five-year tax sale listing of only five properties this year, according to the County Auditor. Motion carried. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Four Corners Wildlife Club MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve raffle permit for Four Corners Wildlife Club on November 22, 1993, at the Embden Community Center. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. PERMIT FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Veterans Club, Inc. at Wild Rice Bar MOTION, passed Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to grant site authorization permit for Veterans Club, Inc. to conduct games of chance under license issued by North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of October 11, 1993 through June 30, 1994, at the bar in Wild Rice, ND under ownership of Bruce R. Schauer. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
