Minutes--May 3, 1993 1022 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOB STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> MAY 3, 1993 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint called the meeting to order at 3:30 <br />PM with all members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, <br />Alon Wieland, Bernie M. Ness and Sharon Toussaint. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Risher seconded that the minutes <br /> of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Ness moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda, with an additional out-of-state travel <br /> request for two correctional officers under item b, adding <br /> contracts for two road construction projects under item f; <br /> and moving items c, d and e from the consent agenda to the <br /> regular agenda for discussion, as requested by Mr. Eckert. <br /> Motion carried· <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION/GAMES OF CHANCE, Veterans Club, Inc. at <br />Wild Rice and Embden <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve site <br /> authorization permits for Veterans Club, Inc. to conduct <br /> games of chance under license issued by the North Dakota <br /> Attorney General's Office at locations known as Bill's Bar <br /> in Wild Rice and at Cottonwood Pub in Embden, ND for the <br /> period of July 1, 1993 through June 30, 1994. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF DEPARTMENT, Out of state travel approved for D.A.R.E. officer, <br />jail chaplain and two correctional officers MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out-of- <br /> state travel for Patty Wasmuth to attend the National <br /> D.A.R.E. Officers Convention in Las Vegas July 6-9, 1993; <br /> and for Chaplain Stan Walton to attend the annual National <br /> Sheriffs' Association Conference in Salt Lake City, on June <br /> 20-23, 1993. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out-of- <br />state travel for Correctional Officers Michele Boucher and <br />Roxanne Pettys to attend Bureau of Prisons training May 25- <br />28, 1993, in Chicago, in accordance with a letter from <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick received April 29, 1993. On roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
