Minutes--February 3, 1992 817 <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 3, 1992 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alan Wieland called the meeting to order with all members <br />present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, Gene Shannon, Sharon <br />"Pepper" Toussaint and Alan Wieland. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br />minutes of the January 21st regular meeting be approved as <br />corrected, changing the monthly amount to $40.00 per <br />telephone line for the Attorney General's Office (page 814, <br />paragraph 22); and to approve the minutes of the January <br />21st special meeting as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br />order of agenda, amending the consent agenda to include <br />resignation of the county engineer, appointment of a search <br />committee to replace the engineer, Social Service emergency <br />out of state travel, restructuring Social Service Family <br />Program Service Unit, and request from Auditor to install <br />a display rack in the public hallway. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK, Proclamation adopted <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to adopt the <br />proclamation designating the week of April 5-12, 1992, as <br />National County Government Week. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LOT, Chairman and Auditor to si~n deed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize the <br />Chairman and the County Auditor to sign a County Deed to <br />Dean Smith for the purchase of tax-forfeited Lot 24, Block <br />14, Tyler's Addition, City of Fargo. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM FOR 1992, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br />1992 Proposed Road Construction Program as presented by <br />Steve Grindberg at the January 23rd, 1992, road advisory <br />commi ttee meeting. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />7. ROAD ENGINEER, Resi~nation accepted. search committee for replacement <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to accept the <br />resignation of Donald W. Richards, Cass County Engineer, <br />effective March 1, 1992; and send a letter of appreciation, <br />
