Minutes--January 21, 1992 809 <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> JANUARY 21, 1992 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all <br />members present as follows: Don Eckert, Steve Risher, Gene Shannon, <br />Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded that the minutes <br /> of the previous meetings of January 6th and 13th, 1992, be <br /> approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br /> order of the agenda as amended, adding three items to the <br /> consent agenda as follows: health insurance premium for <br /> part-time employees, ratify Social Service Board actions <br /> and Road Department temporary hire; and adding at the end <br /> of the regular agenda, correspondence from the State's <br /> Attorney on Red River Valley Fairgrounds real property <br /> value. Motion carried. <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENDATIONS, Charlotte Sandvik, Kathy Hogan, Bonnie_Johnson, <br />Michael Montplaisir, Frank Klein MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> sending commendation letters to Charlotte Sandvik, Kathy <br /> Hogan, Bonnie Johnson, Michael Montplaisir and Frank Klein, <br /> a copy of each to be placed in the respective employees' <br /> personnel files after being posted on the main floor <br /> bulletin board. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL COORDINATOR, Marcia Kemmer introduced <br />Mr. Shannon introduced Marcia Kemmer, who began duties today as Cass <br />County Personnel Coordinator. <br /> <br />CONTRACT RENEWAL, Jail housing contract with City of Kindred <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve the <br /> jail housing contract with the City of Kindred, and <br /> authorize the Chairman of the Board of Cass County <br /> Commissioners to sign the contract. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF, DATA PROCESSING, SOCIAL SERVICES, Out of state travel <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve out of <br /> state travel for Lt. Arland Rasmussen to attend the 169th <br /> Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, <br /> March 29th - June 12th, 1992. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
