Minutes--September 17, 1991 741 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> SEPTEMBER 17, 1991 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Gene Shannon called the meeting to order with all members <br />present as follows: Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Don Eckert, Steve <br />Risher, Alon Wieland and Gene Shannon. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that minutes <br /> of the September 4, 1991, regular meeting and minutes of <br /> the September 4, 10 and 11, 1991, budget meetings be <br /> approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> the order of the agenda amending it as follows: remove <br /> Human Resources travel request from the consent agenda <br /> because travel was denied by Human Resources Overview <br /> Committee; add Benefits Committee recommendation on health <br /> insurance coverage; and ratify action of Human Resources <br /> Overview Committee on time sheets. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR BINGO, Kindred Future Homemakers of America approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve <br /> bingo permit for Kindred Future Homemakers of America to be <br /> held October 10, 1991, January 14, 21, and 28, 1992, and <br /> February 1, 11, and 18, 1992, at Kindred High School. On <br /> roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD AND STREET REPAIR ANNUAL DISBURSEMENTS, Approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve <br /> disbursement of the following 1991 road and street repair <br /> funds: City of Alice--S97.00; City of Horace--S1,267.00; <br /> and Tower City--S4§9.00. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />RENTAL AGREEMENT, With Butler Machinery, Inc. for motor grader <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br /> motor grader rental agreement with Butler Machinery, Inc. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Mr. Eckert <br /> called attention to item #12 on said rental agreement which <br /> says the contract will be honored up to six units. Auditor <br /> Michael Montplaisir said the county is currently paying <br /> $850 per month for each of four motor graders· The <br /> Commission was in agreement that if the County Engineer <br /> wants to rent more than four motor graders~ he must notify <br /> the County Commission first and get approval before renting <br /> more than four motor graders. A memo will be written to <br /> Mr. Richards to this effect, <br /> <br /> <br />
