Comm. Minutes--May 6, 1991 660 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 6, 1991 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman Gene Shannon called the meeting to order with all members present as follows: Alon Wieland, Don Eckert, Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint, Steve Risher and Gene Shannon. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the minutes of the previous meetings of April 15 and April 23, 1991, be approved as written. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the order of the agenda adding consideration of a raffle permit for the Chaffee Sophomore Class after item #7. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 4. TAX DIRECTOR OFFICE, Staff commendation for Jan Antonelli MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to send a letter of commendation as read by the chairman to Jan Antonelli, Tax Director's Office. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 5. SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND, Sold to former owner. Merlon Smith MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to allow Merlon Smith to re-purchase a tract of land in Wheatland Township for the appraised amount of $24.96, and authorize the Chairman of the Board and County Auditor to sign the County Deed. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 6. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Hickson Women of the ELCA MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve a raffle permit for the Hickson Women of the ELCA to be held September 14, 1991 at the Hickson Community Center. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 7. SPECIAL SUNDAY EVENT ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE PERMIT, Leonard Golf Club MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve a request from Leonard Golf Club for a special event permit, in accordance with state law, to sell beer on two Sundays-- June 23 and August 25, 1991, at the Leonard Golf Club. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
