TAX EQUALIZATION DIRECTOR, Out of state travel approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out of <br />state travel for Frank Klein, Tax Equalization Director, to <br />attend the North Central Regional Association of Assessing <br />Officers' Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, June 8-13, <br />1991. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. SHERIFF DEPARTMENT AND JAIL, Out of state travel approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve out of <br />state travel for Sheriff Donald Rudnick, Rich Majerus and <br />Chaplain Stan Walton to attend the National Sheriffs' <br />Association Conference in Minneapolis on June 16-19, 1991. <br />On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. PROCLAMATION FOR MOSQUITO AWARENESS WEEK, May 6-10. 1991 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to adopt the <br />proclamation for Mosquito Awareness Week designated for the <br />week of May 6-10, 1991, as requested by the Fargo-Moorhead <br />Metropolitan Council of Governments. On roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. PROCLAMATION FOR SEVERE SUMMER WEATHER AWARENESS MONTH, Month of May <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to adopt the <br />proclamation for Severe Summer Weather Awareness Month <br />during the month of May, 1991, as requested by Captain <br />Glenn Ellingsberg, Disaster Emergency Services. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. JAIL TELEPHONE, Pay telephone location a~reement si~ned <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize the <br />Chairman of the Board of Cass County Commissioners to sign <br />the pay telephone location agreement for a new inmate phone <br />system to be installed at the Cass County Jail. On roll <br />call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />13. CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT UNIT, North Dakota Pro~ram Awareness Award <br />Bonnie Johnson said the Fargo Regional Child Support Enforcement Unit <br />received the 1991 Program Awareness Award from the North Dakota Family <br />Support Council at its annual meeting held April 23-25, 1991, in <br />Bismarck. Mr. Shannon extended the Commission's congratulations to <br />those present from the Fargo unit. <br /> <br />14. TELEPHONE SYSTEM, Trial installation of AT&T AUDIX Voice Information <br />Data Processing Director Mike Steiner explained the concept of AT&T <br />voice message systems. A committee consisting of Don Eckert, Bonnie <br />Johnson, Ginger Kaufman, Jerry Skjonsby and Mr. Steiner recommended <br />that Cass County install the AUDIX Voice Information System and use <br />it for 60 days under AT&T's Try It/Buy It campaign. If the County <br />decides to buy it, the cost will be $47,237.27. If they do not wish <br />to buy the AUDIX System, AT&T will remove the system at no charge to <br />Cass County. <br />
