Minutes--September 4, 1990 509 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF,CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 4, 1990 <br /> <br />IIEETING TO ORDER <br />chairman Gene Shannon called the meeting to order with all members <br />pi'esent as follows: Oscar Sondrall, Alon Wieland, Don Eckert, Sharon <br />"Pepper" Toussaint, and Gene Shannon· <br /> <br />HINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Touseaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the <br /> minutes of two previous meetings, August 1 and August 21, <br /> 1990, be approved as written· Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDED <br />There was no objection to the request from Social Service Board <br />Chairman, Commissioner Toussaint, to amend, the agenda to include a <br />recommendation to adopt Social Services budget as outlined at their <br />meeting earlier today· Chairman Shannon asked for any discussion on <br />the consent agenda, but there was none· MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to adopt the <br /> 1991 Social Service budget as outlined at their meeting <br /> today. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HOLHEN SUBDIVISION PAVING PROJECT, Completion date amended <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to authorize <br /> the Chairman to sign a change order extending completion <br /> date to August 15, 1990, for the Holmen Subdivision paving <br /> project. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RAILROAD CROSSINGS, Si~na] up~rade MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wteland moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to authorize <br /> Chairman to sign RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT TO <br /> PROVIDE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FEDERAL AID SECONDARY <br /> PROJECT TITLE II SAFETY PROGRAM for upgrading five <br /> locations outlined in the July 26, 1990, letter from North <br /> Dakota Department of Transportation. County Engineer Don <br /> Richards recommends budgeting Cass County's 10% share, or <br /> $28,000, in 1992, On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD ENGINEER, Salary correct~on <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to amend salary <br /> and benefits proposal adopted July 11, 1989, to include an <br /> additional five years of service for Donald Richards, <br /> County Engineer; to recompute his salary based upon that <br /> additional five years of service; to direct the Personnel <br /> Department to make necessary adjustments to Mr, Richards' <br /> salary effective January 1, 1989--$46,128 for 1989 and <br /> $46,728 for 1990.
