48 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 12, 1988 Chairman Don Eokert called the meeting members present as follows: Jeannette Stanton, Wieland, Ray Larson and Don Eokert. to order with all Oscar Sondrall, Alon Mr'. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mr'. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to adopt the "WRITTEN RECORD OF FINDINGS ON PETITION FOR INCORPORATION OF MUNICIPALITY TO BE KNOWN AS ROUND HILL, NORTH DAKOTA" and authorize the Chairman to sign said document. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Richard Offutt, Director of Administrative Services, Sheriff Don Rudniok and County Engineer Don Richards were present for discussion on the differences between the two departments as far as storm leave and holiday pay policies. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr-. Larson seconded that Richard Offutt prepare a written policy on storm leave 'for emergency personnel.. Motion carried. It was the consensus of the Commissioners that any other changes should be addressed at the time that the personnel policy manual is revised. Upon the recommendation of the County Engineer, Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve payment of City Pothole and Street Repair Funds to the City of Arthur in the amount of $617.00; and to the City of Briarwood in the amount of $591.00 for 1987 and $662.00 for 1988, to be encumbered by them for future road paving. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant a utility permit 'to Cass County Electric, Inc. to bury cable under County Road 34 in Section 22, Gardner Township, as recommended by the County Engineer. Motion carried. Administrative Assistant Diana Muraok presented copies of a letter from the City of Fargo regarding proposed consolidation of special assessment and computer records. She will schedule a meeting with the respective County and City officials. Mr. l_arson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Diana Muraok be authorized to spend up to $40.00 to host a meeting of 'the Association of Minnesota Counties to be held in Fargo on April 15, 1988. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Larson Moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file the Officer's Reports for March, 1988. Motion carried. Upon the request of Deanna Kensrud, Register of Deeds, Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that she be authorized to hire staff replacement for' Denise MoCollom in Pay Grade 4 at a salary not to exceed $1,000.00 per' month. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
