On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file the letters from Senators Herschel <br />Lashkowitz and David Nething and from Representatives John Dorso and Earl Strinden regarding the State <br />Fire and Tornado Fund. Motion carried. <br />n Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Glenn Ellingsberg be authorized to proceed with the <br />installation of a partition wall in the basement of the Juvenile Justice Center at a cost up to <br />$3,700.00, to be paid from the Buildings and Grounds budget. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the purchase of two executive style chairs <br />at a cost of $250 -$300 each for the Administrative Assistant and the Data Processing Manager, subject to <br />inquiring at the Lake Agassiz Regional Council on possible surplus chairs. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file correspondence from the <br />North Dakota State Highway Department, dated December 22, 1985, regarding a signalized pedestrian <br />crossing on Tenth Street South near the Courthouse. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve the proposal for Architect's Project #8327 <br />from T. F. Powers Construction for concrete work in the northwest basement area of the original <br />Courthouse in the amount of $1,092.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve partial payment No. 4 in the amount of <br />$12,445.00 to West Fargo Plumbing Heating,. Inc. and to approve partial payment No. 3 in the amount of <br />$4,987.80 to Dakota Electric Construction Company for the Courthouse remodeling project. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve partial payment No. 2 in the amount of <br />$46,170.00 and partial payment No. 3 in the amount of $24,795.00 to the T.F. Powers Construction Company; <br />to approve partial payment No. 3 in the amount of $16,340.00 and partial payment No. 4 in the amount of <br />$17,195.00 to West Fargo Plumbing Heating; to approve partial payment No. 2 in the amount of $28,755.00 <br />and partial payment No. 3 in the amount of $64,132.20 to Dakota Electric Construction; and to approve <br />payment of $400.00 to Gaffaney's for telephone equipment; for a total of $197,787.20 for the Courthouse <br />south addition. Wieland, Chairman <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 4, 1986 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br />Mr. Richard Lane from the Metropolitan Council of Governments presented the Fargo Moorhead <br />Metropolitan Area Highway Plan Update, and he requested that any comments be received by February 27th. <br />The Chairman called for a hearing on the Highway Plan Update at the regular meeting of February 18, 1986, <br />at 9:30 A.M., and asked that representatives be present from the County Road Department, the County <br />Planning Commission and the Metropolitan Council of Governments. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the <br />Blue Cross -Blue Shield Master Contract for 1986 as presented by the Administrative Assistant. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Scott Krueger reported that the Courthouse remodeling project is proceeding relatively close to <br />schedule. He suggested that his office and the Data Processing Manager be moved to the basement of the <br />Juvenile Justice Center, and that the Cass County Commission begin holding their regular meetings in the <br />basement meeting room of the Juvenile Justice Center beginning with the February 11th meeting. The <br />Director of Tax Equalization's Office could then be moved to the Commission Room and the Administrative <br />Assistant's Office due to remodeling in his area at the present time. The Commission was in agreement <br />with this schedule. <br />
