<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA <br /> <br />G134 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 3, 1984 <br /> <br />Chairman Eckert called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were <br />present. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. . <br /> <br />An Invocation was given by Mr. Eckert. <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to appoint Mrs. Jeannette Stanton <br />as the new Chairman for 1984. The motion carried on roll call vote with four members <br />voting "Aye" and Mrs. Stanton voting "Pass". <br /> <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to appoint Mr. Larson as the new <br />Vice Chairman for 1984. The motion carried on roll call vote with four members voting <br />"Aye" and Mr. Larson voting "Pass". <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to reappoint Mr. Frank Richards to the <br />position of County Surveyor. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to reappoint Mr. Keith Monilaws to the <br />Board of County Park Commissioners. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The reappointment of Mr. Wayne Kyser to the Board of County Park Commissioners <br />would be delayed until he could be contacted. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, submitted a letter from <br />Henry Wisness, Secondary Roads Engineer, on a railroad signal crossing in Wheatland. <br />The total cost of this project would be $85,000.00 with the County paying 10% of this. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved ,and Mr. Sondrall seconded to have Mrs. Stanton sign the document. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Hr. Grindberg reported on the problems they had been having with mail boxes <br />in the rural area when plowing snow. He recommended a box which pivots on its postal <br />support. and is at least 4 feet from the ground. These specifications would meet <br />with the postal service. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert made a motion and Mr. Larson seconded for Mr. Grindberg to publish <br />these recommendations and distribute them to the rural people with a deadline of <br />June 1, 1984.
