<br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded the County Treasurer to invest County
<br />funds. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />For next week's meeting each Commissioner was to bring some ideas for the new
<br />Administrative Assistant who will be assuming his duties on February 1, 1984.
<br />His office will be located next to the Commission Room with furnishings to be found
<br />for it.
<br />
<br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to accept the application for the
<br />Raffle Permit for the Interstate Gun Club. On roll call vote, the motion carried
<br />unanimously.

<br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive and file the document for
<br />a bid bond from Knight Printing Company on election supplies. On roll call vote,
<br />the motion carried unanimously.
<br />
<br />Upon opening bids for the Sheriff's Department that was requested by the Commission,
<br />it was found that one bidder did not include a bid bond and another included the bond
<br />with the bid.
<br />
<br />Mr. Robert Hoy, States Attorney, could find no requirements in the law for bidding
<br />on Sheriff's vehicles. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to waive the technicali-
<br />ties this time and open the bids. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.

<br />Mr. Dan Martinsen, Insurance Consultant, presented bids for the group health
<br />insurance recommending the self-funding:

<br />
<br />A meeting with the employees that comprise the Insurance Committee will be held
<br />on Thursday, January 5, 1984, at 4:00 P.M. and a special meeting will be held on Monday,
<br />January 9, 1984 at 9:15 A.M. with Mr. Martinsen, Insurance Consultant. A final decision
<br />will be reached at next week's meeting.
<br />
<br />The State had requested that the' Commissioners interview the three applicants
<br />they have selected for the position as County Agent on Tuesday, January 17th, at 1:30 P.M.
<br />
<br />On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was adjourned.
