Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the regular Cass County Commission iCommission mtgs. meeting day be changed from Wednesday to Tuesday each week. On roll call vote, the motion I changed to Tues. carried unanimously. The regular Commission meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 24th? instead of Tuesday that week due to a previously scheduled bid opening. I Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded to receive and file the letter ,ILetter from St. from the State Disaster Emergency Services commending Gordon Sletmoe for his efforts DES commending and for his participation in a seminar recently held in Bismarck. DES Director the motion carried unanimously. i I jMonthly Reports lrecd & filed j I i i I I I Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the application for Federal Aid funds for proposed grading and possibly bituminous surfacing on 7.9 miles of County Road 10 from Buffalo to Wheatland. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Sheriff Don Rudnick explained the 1981 year end report from his department, which was submitted to the Board last Wednesday. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Commission write a letter ~. of intent to build a recreation area to the north of the County Jail to provide outdoor exercise for prisoners, which action will assure that the Cass County Jail will be recognized as a class I jail in the State of North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file the following , monthly reports for December, 1981: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Hoehn - Auditor 'Cass County, North Dakota REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FEBRUARY 2, 1982 (TUESDAY) Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and four members were present, Mr. Larson being absent. An Invocation was given by the Chairman. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. The County Road Superintendent reported that he received a price from Cordell Motors of $4,000.00 plus trade on another 1982 four-wheel drive to replace his vehicle which was involved in an accident. Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize Mr. Grindberg to negotiate on the above basis. The motion carried on roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to grant the application submitted by the Red River Valley Fair Association for a permit for the activities at the 77th annual fair on the dates of July 8-14, 1982, at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. The motion carried on roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Hendrickson seconded to grant the application for a dance permit for the Erie Centennial Club to hold a public dance on the date of June 5, 1982, at the Erie School Gym, Erie, North Dakota.
