Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Auditor be authorized to pay <br />"estimates on new jthe following estimates on the Courthouse Addition: Twin City Construction in the amount <br />Crthse. Addition iof $5,735.75 and Ste. Marie Ltd. for window coverings in the amount of $3,032.92. <br />iThe motion carried on roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />I <br />, The Board discussed a problem of poor acoustics in the new courtrooms in the <br />inlCourthouse Addition, and the Auditor stated that the Architect was made aware of the <br />I situation. <br />i <br />Sheriff Rudnick- : Discussion was held with Sheriff Don Rudnick on the contract amounts for housing <br />Discuss. on Iprisoners in the County Jail. He stated that the present amounts are covering the expenses <br />housing prisonerslfor food, and most of the remaining costs would be there anyway such as maintenance. <br />The Board asked how Cass County compares with other jails in the state and also <br />Icounty jails in other states, and the Sheriff will investigate this further. <br /> <br />I , f h . <br />Appt. of Jack Fayi Upon the recommendatlon 0 t e States Attorney, Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Hendrlckson <br />as Assistant" lseconded that Mr. Hoy be authorized to appoint Mr. Jack Fay of Fargo as an Assistant <br />States Attorney IIStates Attorney effective March 1, 1982, at a salary of $20,000.00. The motion carried <br />on roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br />I <br />Appt. of Karen i Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve the appointment of Karen Hilsgen <br />Hilsgen as 2nd las 2nd Deputy to the Clerk of the District Court effective February 1, 1982. The motion <br />deputy to Clerk I carried on roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br />of Dist. The motion carried on roll call vote with all members present <br />voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Policy committeeJ Mr. Eckert reported that a Policy Committee consisting of several County Department <br />Report on change~Hea~s,and himself met on several occasion~, ,and changes,in th~ County's,personnel <br />personnel polic. IPollcles have been suggested plus new pollcles to be wrltten lnto a pollcy statement <br />Iconcerning other matters of the County. The Board will continue to study proposed <br />policy matters. <br />! <br /> <br />Vouchers for Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Vouchers No. 21,583 through <br />January approved No. 22,271 and Revenue Sharing Vouchers No. 295 through No. 298 be approved and ordered <br />paid. The motion carried on roll call vote with all-members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />On motion by Mr. Eckert and seconded by Mr. Hendrickson, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 9, 1982 (TUESDAY) <br /> <br />Chairman Wold called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present. <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Dance permit <br />granted to Shey. <br />Red Riv. HS ,~o:l, <br />Rodeo Assoc. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant a permit to the Sheyenne, Red River <br />High School Rodeo Association to hold a public dance on the date of April 17, 1982, <br />in the Commercial Building at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds.
