Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Annual Report of the Cass County Annual Report of !Historical Society be received and filed as presented to the Board by Mr. Ken McIntyre. Corres. from Fgo.: Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Board receive and file the Mayor re: road !correspondence regarding the road by Hector Airport past the Holy Cross Cemetery, past cemeteries iwhereby Fargo Mayor Jon Lindgren stated that the City of Fargo will improve the road Ito provide access to the cemeteries in order to resolve the dispute. REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MARCH 5, 1980 ! : Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and four members were present, iMr. Hendrickson being absent. An Invocation was given by Mrs. Stanton. Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting ibe approved as written. Motion carried. , Upon the request of Larry Stern, Assistant States Attorney, Mrs. Wold moved and :Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Grant Application to the !North Dakota Law Enforcement Council for the Summer Intern Program at a cost to the County iof $50.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. that a gambling permit be granted to the held on April 15, 1980, at the Watering Hole carried unanimously. Committee Reports were given. meeting of the Metropolitan Council A-95 Review for the City of Fargo that the Metropolitan Council did not have to the County Board previously. No. 5224 On motion by Mr. Sondrall and seconded by Mrs. Wold, the meeting was adjourned. ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MARCH 12, 1980 Chairman Stanton called the meeting to order and four members were present, Mr. Hendrickson being absent. Mr. Satrom moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. Mr. Sondrall reported on the public meeting with the State Highway Department concerning proposed signal light crossings in the City of Fargo. He stated that there was an error in the notice of the meeting in that the State Highway Department is not proposing a signal light at 10th Street and 2nd Avenue South as has been requested a number of times by the County. However, Mr. Sondrall and other County officials in attendance at that meeting had an opportunity to voice their opinions in favor of a signal light at this crossing. A letter was received from the State Highway Department regarding proposed improvement on 32nd Avenue South from University to Interstate 94, which is within the Fargo city limits. A letter was also received from the State Highway Department regarding proposed improvement on 52nd Avenue South, which involves paving the present road with further improvements consisting of widening the road in the future. Mr. Satrom did not feel it would be worthwhile to pave the present road. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that Mr. Satrom or Mr. Sondrall be authorized to sign the documents at the State Highway Department bid letting to be held in Bismarck on March 14, 1980. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
