Motion carried. <br /> <br />All bids acceptd. <br />for Rd. Dept. <br />supplies <br /> <br />Upon the recommendation of the County Road Superintendent, Mrs. Wold moved and <br />Mr. Satrom seconded that the County accept all bids for yearly Road Department supplies. <br />The motion carried on a roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br /> <br />Constr. & Maint. Mr. Satrom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />Agreement signed the Agreement for Construction, Maintenance Agreement, and Right of Way Certificate <br />for Project No. CRS 0944(52) Cass County, County Road from four miles south of <br />Iwest Fargo east - Bit. Surf. 2.724 miles. The motion carried on a roll call vote <br />with all members present voting "Aye". <br />I <br />I <br />County Engineern~! Mr. Don Richards appeared before the Board to discuss the possibility of <br />Consulting Servo isetting up a County Engineering Consulting Service. Upon discussion, Mrs. Wold <br />disc. with Isuggested that Mr. Richards draw up a proposal to present to the County Road Superintendent <br />Don Richards ,and to the Board at a later date. <br />I <br />Est. recd. for I Mr. Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, reported that an estimate of <br />paving road past labout $1,200.00 was received to gravel the road past the Holy Cross Cemetery near <br />Holy Cross Cemet.iHector Airport. At this time, Mr. Robert Hoy, Assistant States Attorney, reported <br />ithat under the North Dakota Century Code the County is not responsible for maintenance <br />iof a road unless it is a County road but has the authority to maintain roads <br />iat their discreti~n, Mrs. Wold suggested that the City of Fargo be contacted regarding <br />Ithis matter and discussion be continued at a later date. <br /> <br />Upon the request of Sheriff Rudnick, Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded <br />!that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Grant Award and Acceptance from the <br />INorth Dakota Law Enforcement Council for the Work Release Coordinator Grant. <br />iThe motion carried on a roll call vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br />I <br />Shff. reports on i Sheriff Rudnick reported that the use of County owned squad cars has proven <br />CO.-owned cars ito be a savings to the County. <br />I <br />A-95 review I Mr. Sil.trom moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the A-95 Review from the <br />from Metro. Cncl.'Metropolitan Council of Governments for the Low Income Public Housing Project <br />gra~ted favorable I in West Fargo be given a "Favorable Review". The motioq carried on a roll call <br />rev~ew i vote with all members present voting "Aye". <br />I <br />i <br /> <br />Grant Award for <br />Work Release <br />Coordinator for <br />Jail <br /> <br />Metro-Council <br />A-95 review for <br />Fargo Community <br />Develop. Block <br />Grant <br />Letter from Co. <br />Soc. Servo re: <br />noon hours <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mr. Satrom seconded that the A-95 Review for the <br />!community Development Block Grant be returned to the Metropolitan Council of Governments <br />irequesting additional information. Motion carried. <br />I <br />I <br />Disc. on limitingi Bernie Reynolds, County Planner, appeared before the Board concerning the County's <br />laccesses to Co. ,policy of limiting the number of accesses to County roads. Mr. Reynolds expressed concern <br />Toads as pertains: over a proposed plat of the North 81-20 Su.bdivision in Section IS, Reed Township, <br />to Plat of ! which will be acted upon by the Fargo Planning Commission on March 3rd since the property <br />North 81-20 Sub. i is within the 2-mile jurisdiction of the City of Fargo. He stated that he discussed <br />. the matter with the County Road Superintendent and Mr. Grindberg feels it is a good policy <br />to limit access on Highway 81. The Board instructed Mr. Reynolds to express the County <br />: Board's feeling that the County does not wish to change their policy for limiting the <br />! number of access on County roads, and that the Board would like to discuss the matter <br />iwith the developer or the City of Fargo before the plat is approved. <br />i <br />
