Hoehn - Auditor <br />Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 6, 1979 <br /> <br />Chairman Satrom called the meeting to order and four members Mere present, <br />Mr. Hendrickson being absent. <br /> <br />An Invocation was given by Mr. Satrom. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Names submitted <br />to St. Soc. Servo <br />Bd.--Mrs. Duane <br />Moderow and <br />Clair E. Berg <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the name of Mrs. Duane Moderow <br />Buffalo be submitted to the State Social Services Board and Mr. Sondrall moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that the name of Clair E. Berg of Fargo be submitted to the <br />State Social Services Board for appointment of one of them to serve on the County <br />. Social Services Board to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mrs. Mary Pierce. <br />IMotion carried. <br />i <br />Officer's Reports! Motion carried. <br />~ <br /> <br />the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />Lot 13, Block 1, Oak Grove Addition <br /> <br />Committee Reports were given, and proposed legislation was discussed. <br /> <br />New boiler needed! Mr. Sondrall reported that the building at 57-11th Avenue North, which is occupied <br />for building !by the Head Start Program, is in need of a new boiler at-an estimated cost of $7,000.00. <br />used by Head StariThe County's agreement with Head Start was that the County would not be responsible for <br />[the maintenance of the building but Mr. Sondrall did suggest that they submit a request <br />Ito the County in May if they were still in need of financial help, as they already <br />[have a firm commitment for one-half Qf the estimated cost of the new boiler. <br /> <br />Disc. on repairs <br />in Sheriff's <br />Residence <br /> <br />The Board received estimates for the installation of new kitchen cupboards in the <br />Sheriff's Residence. The Board felt that if they did agree to pay for new cupboards, <br />they would not feel responsible for furnishing any new appliances. The matter was delayed <br />[until the Board can get some idea on what the total cost of wallpapering is going to be. <br /> <br />Plumber to install The plumber who has been doing some work in the Sheriff's Residence stated that there <br />humidifier bar : is no humidity in the jail and it is causing a problem and could become serious. <br />to use steam fromiMrs. Wold moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the plumber be authorized to put in a <br />boiler in jail !humidifier bar using the steam from the boiler at an estimated cost of $700.00. <br />: Motion carried. <br /> <br />, <br />Interview of Arch! The Board began to interview architects for the project of providing additional <br />for County office! County office space. Four firms were interviewed today and the remainder will be <br />space project : interviewed Wednesday afternoon. <br />: <br />!
