The matter will be placed <br />on the agenda in one month. <br /> <br />Committee Reports were given. <br /> <br />The Chairman handed out the re-assignment of portfolios for 1979. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wold moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Vouchers No. 57,357 through <br />No. 58,083 be approved and ordered paid. Motion carried. <br /> <br />On motion by Mrs. Wold and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />ADJOURNED MEETING OF CASS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 17, 1979 <br /> <br />Chairman Satrom called the meeting to order and upon roll call, all members were present <br /> <br />Out of state <br />travel for Supt. <br />of Schools <br /> <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />ibe approved as written. Motion carried. <br />I <br />I Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized <br />Ito sign the application for Federal Aid on County Road 20 north of West Fargo <br />Ifor 7 miles. Motion carried. <br />I <br />I <br />Grant Award and: Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Wold seconded that-the Chairman be authorized to sign <br />Acceptance for Ithe Grant Award and Acceptance on behalf of CENTER, Inc. for the development of a <br />CENTER, Inc. Icommunity residential treatment center for ex-offenders. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Road sign req. aJ Mr. Sondrall asked two representatives from the State Highway Department to investigate <br />intersec. of 81 !placing a sign for Kindred and Enderlin at the corner of State Highway 46 and Highway 81. <br />& St. 46 to !They stated that they will discuss it with the County Road Superintendent. <br />Kindred ! <br />Discussion was held with the representatives from the State Highway Department on <br />St. Hwy. Dept. iHighway 81 and County Road 6 near the Convent. Ken Birst, the Urban Planning Engineer, <br />present to dis- I stated that this road is a part of a larger project on Highway 81 from 32nd Avenue South, <br />cuss project !but the project can be done in segments. Funding would require 80% Federal and State funds <br />involving Hwy. 8]and 20% local. Mr. Sondrall stated that the road which is called County Road 6 from the <br />south and also IConvent to the Interstate is maintained by the County, but he understands that it actually <br />C6 from Convent Ibelongs to the State Highway Department. He stated that the road definitely needs <br />to the Interstat~to be blacktopped. Mr. Birst stated that he will forward Mr. Sondrall's comments to <br />IMr. Bradley, the Chief Engineer, to be included in the information which was gathered <br />!at the public hearing on the subject. He felt that something could be worked out with the <br />I County which would be agreeable to both. Mr. Birst stated that Highway 81 from <br />i52nd Avenue South to the Convent is State-owned and from the Convent south to State Highway 4, <br />lis County-owned. <br />I <br />I Mr. Hendrickson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Joan Mikula, County Superintendent <br />,!Of SchOOls, be authorized to attend the National Convention of School Administrators in <br />New Orleans in February.
