<br />Commission Minutes--June 3, 2002 2450 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JUNE 3, 2002 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: John Meyer, Donna Schneider, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and Alon Wieland. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Chairman Wieland asked John Meyer to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with the following changes to the consent agenda: 1) adding <br />a Highway Department contract to transport gravel from Lisbon to <br />Durbin; and 2) adoption of the 2003 budget calendar presented by the <br />county auditor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. TOWNSHIP ROAD MILES, Certification to State Treasurer <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve certification <br />of the township road miles as submitted by the county auditor. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. ROAD CLOSURE, County Road #28 temporary closure durina Pvrotechnics Show <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the Cass <br />County Sheriff's Office to close County Road #28 from 8:30 p.m. to 1 :00 <br />a.m. each night during August 4-9, 2002, for safety reasons during the <br />Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI). On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. JAIL, Purchase orders for self-contained breathina apparatuses. copiers and fax <br />machines. radio eauipment. storaae shelvina and other miscellaneous items <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign purchase orders with Grand Forks Fire Equipment <br />Company, Office Systems, Inc., Mid-States Wireless, Inc. and W. W. <br />Grainger for jail items. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. PERMIT FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Walcott Firefiahters & Rescue Sauad <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to grant a site <br />authorization permit to conduct games of chance under a license issued <br />by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period July 1, 2002, <br />
