<br />Commission Minutes-May 6, 2002 2436 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />r" <br /> <br />r" <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MAY 6, 2002 <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. Mr. <br />Wieland introduced Lisa McEvers, Assistant State's Attorney, who was present today <br />representing the State's Attorney, Birch Burdick. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of <br />the agenda with one addition to the regular agenda being two change <br />orders for the new Cass County jail. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />PERMITS FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Approved for Veterans Inc.: Red River Human <br />Services: Erie American Leaion <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to grant site authorization <br />permits to conduct games of chance under a license issued by the <br />North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 2002 <br />through June 30, 2003, as follows: Veterans Incorporated at Club 94 <br />and Bronco Bar; Dokken & Schroeder Post #223 at the Erie American <br />Legion Hall; and Red River Human Services at the Wild Rice Bar and <br />Grill. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. COMMISSION MEETING, Julv meetina date chanaed from July 15th to July 22nd <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to change the second <br />meeting in July, from the 15th, to July 22, 2002, because of the <br />National Association of Counties Convention in New Orleans on July <br />11-16, which Commissioners Wieland, Sorum and Wagner plan to <br />attend. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />FLOOD BUYOUT, Deed to re-convey excess property in Wiser Township <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chairman <br />and the county auditor to sign a warranty deed with Vaughn and <br />Shirley Johnson of Argusville, North Dakota, to re-convey excess <br />property in Wiser Township, which they deeded to Cass County in <br />November, 1997, under the flood buyout program. On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />
