<br />Commission Minutes--February 4, 2002 2410 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 4, 2002 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order aDDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order <br />of the agenda with the following addition to the consent agenda: <br />contract with Mark A. Beauchene for indigent defendants in mental <br />health proceedings. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. OMITTED ASSESSMENT, ADDroved for Farao Lodaina LLC and Carisch Brothers <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to add part of Lots 1, 2 <br />and 3, Block 2, Interstate Services Subdivision to the City of Fargo, <br />as omitted property for 1999, 2000 and 2001 in the amount of $49,000 <br />commercial lot added value, according to notice sent from the county <br />auditor to Fargo Lodging LLC, Fargo, North Dakota and Carisch <br />Brothers, Wayzata, Minnesota. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />5. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Purchase orders for transDort bus <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to authorize the chairman <br />to sign purchase orders for the purchase of a transport bus for use by <br />the County Jail at a cost of $49,670.00. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. CONTRACT APPROVAL, Burlinaton Northern Santa Fe: U.S. Marshall's Service: IBM <br />CorDoration: North Dakota DeDartment of TransDortation: Barnes County Correctional <br />Facility: Mark A. Beauchene <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the following <br />contracts submitted by respective department heads, subject to <br />state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Burlington Northern and Sante Fe Railway--agreements for the installation of new <br />concrete crossings at two locations on Cass County Highway 26; <br />
