<br />Commission Minutes--January 22, 2002 2405 <br /> <br />r DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 22, 2002 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order aDDroved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order <br />of the agenda with the following changes: 1) postpone omitted <br />assessment item on the consent agenda, at the request of the County <br />Auditor; 2) add contracts with the Cities of Cassel ton and Mapleton <br />for police services; and 3) postpone Fargo Cass County Economic <br />Development Corporation presentation on "pilot" skills development <br />program at the request of Tony Grindberg, who is unable to attend <br />today's meeting. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, ADDroved for Bobbv SchemDD. Jr. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that Abatement #4215 <br />and #4216 be approved for Bobby Schempp, Jr. as recommended by <br />the Walburg Township Board and the Director of Equalization. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Authorize chairman to sian two Durchase orders for eauiDment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign a purchase order for three speciality hitches in the <br />amount of $16,585.50; and a purchase order for two tandem truck <br />chassis in the amount of $144,633.24 for the Cass County Highway <br />Department. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR SUNDAY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SALES, ADDroved for Club 94 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve a Sunday <br />alcoholic beverage permit for Club 94 at their establishment near <br />Casselton, North Dakota, on the date of February 3, 2002, for Super <br />Bowl Sunday, according to a letter from Brenda Hersch. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
