<br />7. <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--January 22, 2002 2406 <br /> <br />SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, Deeds to City of Paae <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br />chairman and the county auditor to sign two county deeds to the City <br />of Page for tax-forfeited property purchased from Cass County. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AUDITOR, Authorize chairman to sian Durchase order for election eauiDment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br />chairman to sign a purchase order for ten ballot counters in the <br />amount of $52,200.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />CONTRACT APPROVAL, North Dakota DeDartment of Human Services: Steven Mottinaer: <br />Farao Cass Public Health: City of Casselton: City of MaDleton <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the <br />following contracts submitted by respective department head, subject <br />to state's attorney approval, and authorize the chairman to sign: On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />North Dakota Department of Human Services for fees for translator services; <br />Steven Mottinger for indigent defendants in mental health proceedings; <br />Fargo Cass Public Health for provision of public health and correctional health services; <br />City of Casselton for contract policing; <br />City of Mapleton for contract policing. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />FARGO PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT, Facility Dlan steerina committee <br />Mr. Wieland stated that the County Commission was contacted by the Fargo Public School <br />District asking to select two representatives to serve on a facility planning steering committee. <br />If possible, the County was asked to select people from both north and south of Interstate 94. <br /> <br />Three people residing south of Interstate 94 submitted their names for Board consideration, and <br />one name was submitted from north of Interstate 94. Mr. Wieland said the Commission could <br />vote on the three candidates individually for representation from the south side, or, assuming <br />all three live within the boundaries of the Fargo School District and are qualified to serve on this <br />committee, he suggested a lottery style of drawing one of the three names. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to appoint Ken <br />Tinquist, who lives north of Interstate 94 in Stockman's Subdivision, <br />and to draw for a representative from the south side of Interstate 94 <br />to serve on the Fargo Public School's facility plan steering committee. <br />Motion carried. Mr. Meyer volunteered to make the selection, and he <br />drew the name of Cheryl Jones, who lives south of Interstate 94 in <br />Frontier, North Dakota. Mr. Wieland asked the secretary to submit the <br />names of Ken Tinquist and Cheryl Jones to the Fargo Public School <br />District Office. <br />
