Commission Minutes--January 16, 2001 2236 .~ DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JANUARY 16, 2001 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Alon Wieland, Scott Wagner, Robyn Sorum and John Meyer. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 3. ~ ..- AGENDA, Order aDDroved MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order ofthe agenda with the following additions to the consent agenda: 1) resolution of condolence to the family of the late Darlene Tehven; 2) Sunday alcoholic beverage permitfor Club 94; 3) grant award for Cass County Juvenile Crime EnforcementCoalition; and 4) omitting regular agenda item on abatement application of AGP Grain, as requested by the applicant. Motion carried. 4. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase orders for Bobcat Skid Steer and John Deere mowers MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve and sign purchase order for one Bobcat Model 873 Skid Steer with air conditioning, pallet forks and angle broom from Swanston Equipment Co., Fargo, North Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve and sign purchase order for two John Deere bat-wing mowers, Model 1518, from RDO Equipment Co., Kindred, North Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 5. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, ADDroved for Deane Feland MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Abatement #4183 for Deane Feland be reduced to $40,700 for the year 1999, as recommended by the City of Harwood and the County Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
