<br />6. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes--January 16, 2001 2237 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #2001-2, Condolence to familv ofthe late Darlene Tehven <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to adopt Resolution <br />#2001-2 as follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />..- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Cass County Commissioners has learned of the <br />untimely death of Darlene Tehven, 830 Kennedy Court, Fargo, North <br />Dakota, on January 14, 2001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Darlene Tehven worked in the Cass County Treasurer's Office <br />for the past nine years. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, thatthe Board of Commissioners <br />of Cass County, North Dakota, hereby expresses sincere sympathy to the <br />family of Darlene Tehven. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 16th day of January, 2001. <br /> <br />7. PERMIT FOR SUNDAY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE SALES, ADDroved for Club 94 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve a <br />Sunday alcoholic beverage permit for Club 94 at their establishment <br />near Casselton, ND on the date of January 28, 2001, for Super Bowl <br />Sunday, according to a letter from Jay A. Welle received January 9, <br />2001. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, Juvenile Block Grant Funds <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve the <br />Award Certification for Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant <br />(JAIBG) funds submitted by the Cass County Juvenile Crime <br />Enforcement Coalition. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Withdrawn bv AGP Grain. Ltd. <br />A letter was received January 12, 2001, from Robert J. Pharr, Tax Representative for R.B. <br />Mellander & Associates, withdrawing the 1998, 1999 and 2000 tax abatements for AGP Grain, <br />Ltd. of Casselton, North Dakota. As stated in the letter, they have determined that the <br />assessment is fair at this time. <br /> <br />10. METROPOLITAN COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, 45th Street corridor studv <br />Spencer Montgomery, Fargo Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments Transportation <br />Planner, provided a sketch of various alternatives considered in the 45th Street Northwest <br />Corridor Study from 19th Avenue North to County Road 20. The study included discussions with <br />__ representatives from the City of Reile's Acres, the City of Fargo, Hector International Airport and <br />North Dakota State University. The purpose of the study was to develop a recommended <br />alignment for future roadway improvements in the 45th Street corridor to meet the needs of all <br />the parties involved. An executive summary of the report was provided to each commissioner. <br />
