<br />Commission Minutes--August 21,2000 2176 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AUGUST 21, 2000 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Robbie Quick, Alon Wieland, Paul Koenig and John Meyer. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Quick moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that the minutes of <br />the last regular meeting held August 7, 2000, and the budget meetings <br />of August 15, 16 and 17, 2000, be approved as written. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Koenig seconded to approve the order <br />of the agenda with the following changes: 1) moving an item from the <br />consent agenda to the regular agenda for discussion on proposed <br />adoption of a Workplace Substance Abuse Policy; and 2) adding a <br />contract with Tri-State Striping to the consent agenda under contract <br />approval. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. WEED CUTTING NOTICE, Authorize publication <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to authorize the <br />publication of the notice for weed cutting according to North Dakota <br />Century Code 63-05-02. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. PERMIT FOR SITE AUTHORIZATION, Approved for Walcott Firefighters & Rescue Squad <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to grant site <br />authorization permit to conduct games of chance under license <br />issued by North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of <br />August 21, 2000 through June 30, 2001, for the Walcott Firefighters & <br />Rescue Squad at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker in Hickson, North <br />Dakota. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Approved for St. Maurice's Catholic Church <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve raffle <br />permit for St. Maurice's Catholic Church to be held November 11, <br />2000, at St. Maurice's Catholic Church in Kindred, North Dakota. On <br />roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />
