<br />Commission Minutes-July 17, 2000 2153 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JULY 17, 2000 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Donna Schneider, Robbie Quick, Alon Wieland, Paul Koenig and John Meyer. <br /> <br />2. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Schneider moved and Mrs. Quick seconded to approve the order <br />of the agenda with the following changes: 1) to the consent agenda <br />under contract approval, add contract with Houston Engineering; 2) <br />to the consent agenda, add Resolution of Condolence to family of Ron <br />Block, Bottineau County Commissioner. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. ANNEX BUILDING, Budget transfer for final oayment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to transfer the <br />residual equity balance ofthe Cass County Loan Fund to the General <br />Fund and to direct future payments on back taxes to the General Fund <br />due to making final payment on the Cass County Annex in February, <br />2000. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. ABATEMENT APPLICATION, Aooroved for Frank Kasowski <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded that abatement <br />#4169 be approved for Frank Kasowski, as recommended by the <br />Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. VETERAN'S SERVICE, Budget adiustment for salaries <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve a budget <br />adjustment for salaries due to extended sick leave in the Veteran's <br />Service Office, according to a letter from Veteran's Service Officer <br />James Brent, dated June 19, 2000. On roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
