Commission Minutes--ApriI17, 2000 2111 DEPARTMENT HEADS--PLEASE POST IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR STAFF TO READ REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 17, 2000 1. MEETING TO ORDER Chairman John Meyer called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Donna Schneider, Robbie Quick, Alon Wieland, Paul Koenig and John Meyer. 2. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Schneider moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 3. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mrs. Schneider seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following changes: 1) adding two contract approval requests for County Highway 81 reconstruction and Highway 81 bridge replacement; and 2) moving all of the highway contracts from the consent agenda to the regular agenda for discussion on those projects. Motion carried. 4. PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Ratify action to amend Policy 6.00 MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to ratify action of the Personnel Overview Committee of April 3, 2000, to amend Policy 6.00 concerning donated annual leave. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 5. FIREWORKS SHOW AT FAIRGROUNDS, Authorize closing County Highway 28 MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to authorize the Red River Valley Fair Association to close Cass County Highway 28 each night from August 5 through August 11,2000, during a fireworks show at the fairgrounds. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. 6. PERMIT FOR SPECIAL EVENT, Approved for West Fargo VFW MOTION, passed Mr. Koenig moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve a special event permit for West Fargo VFW Club to dispense alcoholic beverages at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, West Fargo, North Dakota, on the date of May 20, 2000, for the Irving-Schmidt wedding dance. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
