The agenda is attached. <br /> <br />Our department has worked in cooperation with the Upper Great Plains <br />Transportation Institute in preparing a 5-year County Transportation Plan. <br />in order to assist us in this planning process, we would appreciate input <br />from the Road Advisory Committee. We'd ask that you endeavor to review <br />and complete the enclosed survey prior to the meeting. If you are unable to <br />understand or complete the survey prior to the meeting, we'll allocate some <br />time at the meeting for that purpose. <br /> <br />The potential projects and programs listed on the attached spreadsheets <br />were collected from a variety of sources including citizens and County staff. <br />The list was categorized by: <br /> <br />o Safety and Environment <br />o Maintenance <br />o Administration and Planning <br />o Capital Improvements <br /> <br />The County Staffhave pre-screened out some projects. We've included the <br />prescreened out projects in a 2nd set of attached spreadsheets. If you note <br />any projects that have been prescreened out that you'd like brought back tbr <br />consideration, please note which ones. <br /> <br />We historically prioritize asphalt overlay projects based on quantitative <br />criteria including pavement test results. Theretbre it may not be necessary <br />tbr committee members to rate the potential asphalt overlay projects on the <br />list. <br /> <br />When planning a program in the past, I've generally given 1st priority to <br />routine maintenance and asphalt overlay projects that preserve the <br />pavements. The length of time between initial construction and the need tbr <br />the first or subsequent overlays varies based on a variety of factors. For <br /> <br /> <br />
